David Schenck Monument

David Schenck, an attorney, was born in Lincolnton, North Carolina on March 24, 1835. He moved to Greensboro in 1881 and in 1885 he began his effort to rescue the lands on which the Battle of Guilford Courthouse took place.

The inscription on the monument reads:
